Curriculum Resources

The AMR curriculum is a combination of three documents from national organizations that emphasize water issues, specifically with the Mississippi River, Columbia River, and their associated tributaries.

Our Mississippi (Grades 5-6) document, created by the Army Corps of Engineers, gives teachers information on how to engage young people with the environment and in the outdoors.

Holding onto the Green Zone (Middle School level) is a joint project between the Bureau of Land Management and the University of Wisconsin-Extension that has been adopted by the Izaak Walton League program known as Creek Freaks. Holding onto the Green Zone is curriculum that supports students in the study and stewardship of community riparian areas.
